Ginger Plant Pictures

The leaves of our ginger plant display an atypical growth pattern. Every new leaf remains wrapped in the older leaf below it, till the older leaf opens completely. The result is a chain of 7 leaves tied to each other. Ah, the ways of nature! We are curious to see how far it goes. ( If you are a botanist, is it common to ginger plants? )
